OK! So, 7.2 is here, and I can’t wait to really get involved in it and get involved in the new content and quests. I am also going to release another couple of blog posts, one about the new content thats available, one about my views on it, and I will also be reviewing some of the class changes. (Links available once those posts have been written)
This post though is where I stand on Blizzard’s aptitude towards content and release dates. Frankly, two major content patches since the expansion’s launch, is absolutely incredible. The end of Mists and Warlords dragged on so much and I felt like everyone was just waiting for the next adventure. But that’s the difference here, the adventure has come already! For some, it’s before they even wanted it.
I’ve seen a lot of people on the forums complaining that the patch has come too early. Come on guys…. no doubt this is the same people sat complaining on the forums at the end of the last couple of expansions about lack of content.
Ignore the haters, and enjoy what we have. I for one am excited by the new content, and by Blizzards throughput this time around. It feels like they’ve listened to the player base, and have stepped their game up.
As well though, I personally feel like the changes they are making and the new content they are adding, hasn’t just been half-arsed. They’ve genuinely put time into the content and to make sure it is appealing to the players. It’s times like this that I feel excited for the future of the game, and really happy with the shape this expansion has taken.
So what do you think? Has the patch come too soon? Are you excited for the new content? How excited are you to go to Eredar in the next patch? Let me know in the comments below!
